Acquiring a pony

The pony purchase - The differences (Here the comparison!)

Minipony from the breeder: Both parents are registered and recognized by breed societies. You can trace back several generations. The matings were chosen so that the parent animals to the excellent quality also complement each other in physique, character. You look again and again on the colors. The goal of a breeder is to breed healthy, strong-looking and beautiful ponies. The foal grows up appropriate to the species and is presented to the breeding association and in most cases assessed on a foal award. The foal receives full papers. It will be discontinued at the earliest from the 6 month and can then be sold.

The cheap pony: The pony was purchased cheap at a horse dealer and originally came from a mass propagator. Due to various intestinal parasites and poor diet, the pony was often ill in his first year of life. The father, a far too large stallion, was in the neighboring village. The stallion is neither recognized nor does he have papers. The pony is not developed according to its age. Mare and foal are in poor condition as the feeding is not optimal and they are probably only kept in a dark stable without being allowed to graze. The foal is already sold at only 4 months to keep the costs as low as possible. It is sold without being dewormed. If such a sale runs badly, the ponies end up at the dealer.

breeding

The breeder is the only person who participates in the breeding, promotion, and preservation of the breed as you have met and loved it.
